-Seated Virgin in terracotta, Italian work from the 16th century
-The Virgin is seated, facing forward. She is wearing a short double veil, revealing the waves of her hair and framing her face. She is dressed in a long gown, tight at the waist, and covered by a large mantle, open over the bust, the sides of which, gathered over the knees, fall in cascades of folds. With her left hand, she was holding the now-defunct Infant Jesus. The modelling of the face is worked with care and finesse, exuding a calm, serene attitude.
16th-century Italian terracotta work. Partially incomplete, with burn marks on the Virgin's bust and knees.
