This plaster statue by Charles Alexandre Filleul (1856-1907) comes from an artist's studio. It is a unique work, probably a preparatory for a bronze, what is known as a plâtre d'atelier.
In terms of condition, there are several defects: the head and fan have been glued back together, there are missing parts behind the neck, small rusty points on the back, and traces of dirt. There is patina wear, a chip on the nose, holes on the left elbow, a rusty pin protrudes from the right shoulder, and the base is reinforced with rusty metal pins.
The whole remains presentable, but we want to be sincere in our descriptions.
Our many photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the item.
