Here is a plaster statue from the workshop of Charles-Alexandre Filleul (1856-1907), depicting Christ with his arm raised. The work is dedicated to and signed by Filleul. It is beautifully patinated, powerful and well brought out.
It is probably a preparatory work for a larger statue, as Charles Filleul produced garden statues in particular.
The work is in its natural state and has not been touched. The thumb and forefinger are broken, the base is chipped and missing in places.
