Erected on their portor marble pedestal, each of these two solid silver sculptures is made after one of the two warriors of Riace, rare very large Greek bronzes discovered off the coast of Calabria in 1972.
If the originals kept in the National Museum of Reggio Calabria are not contemporary - evidenced by the rigidity of one and the supple contrapposto of the other - our solid silver sculptures bear witness to this attraction for Antiquity which does not not weaken, even in the 20th century. In perfect condition, they illustrate with finesse the virtuosity of the Greek sculptors of Antiquity.
