Biscuit porcelain bust of Emperor Napoleon I, in Hermès on a Turquin blue marble base. Titled Napoleon on the front. Late 19th century or around 1900.

Our bust is from the 1807 model, where Chaudet made this bust based on the model of the Roman imperial portrait known as Hermès. This effigy of the Emperor, although not the subject of an official commission, met with great success and was reproduced in plaster, marble, bronze and Sèvres biscuit to build the imperial legend.

Beautiful historical souvenir, ideal to complete an Empire decor as a desk decoration for example, in excellent condition.
