Burma, 19th century, in the style of the former province of Arakan, very pretty bronze statuette depicting a female figure holding a ceremonial dagger or a stylized vajra in her right hand. The left hand is placed on the body at hip level, the thumb raised. The face with half-closed eyes conveys concentration and determination. The clothes are decorated with incised geometric patterns. The subject is richly adorned with jewelry (bracelets, earrings and rich headdress finished at the top by a unisha).
Very nice work highlighted by a brown patina.
Part in good condition except for slight normal wear and without impact.
Height 23cm.
