    Burma, early 20th century, very pretty and unusual bronze votive altar depicting Buddha seated in padmasana in the position of taking the earth as a witness (bhumisparsa mudra). The altar, with a lotiform base, has an openwork finial at the back. The uprights are decorated with animals. Existence of some traces of polychromy on Buddha and the altar. Execution of good quality. Good condition except for slight normal wear and no impact. Total height 31 cm. Height of Buddha alone 14 cm.
