Important Capodimonte porcelain sculpture by the Italian artist Cesare Villari, representing a romantic scene depicting a young couple and their child savoring the first days of spring.
Capodimonte porcelain works are sought after by collectors. They have been made by renowned artists at the royal factory of Capodimonte near Naples, since 1743.
This unique creation in opaque white depicts a graceful and smiling young woman, lightly dressed, barefoot, carrying a large basket of flowers. At her side, a handsome man in loose clothes, carries his naked child. They share a moment of complicity and are happy.
On the terrace surrounded by a golden outline we find the Capodimonte signature and that of the artist C. Villari.
