Head of a Khmer deity, probably in sandstone, base on a cube of solid exotic wood.
Mid 20th century or earlier.
These pieces were brought back from Cambodia by Claude de Marteau, in his early days, at the end of the 1950s. They are not the result of contemporary industrial production.
The base was renovated because it had too many signs of wear (sanded/oiled)
