"Bust (presumed) of Madame de Lamballe in alabaster by Nicolao Landucci (1801/1868), the particularity of this sculpture lies in the work of the sculptor who knew how to use the duotone of the monobloc alabaster to define the body and the dress in two different colors with a height of 55 cm for a width of 36 cm by 19 cm.
Marie-Louise-Thérèse de Savoie, Princess of Lamballe, known as "Mademoiselle de Carignan" or "Madame de Lamballe", was a princess of the House of Savoy, born in Turin on September 8, 1749 and died in Paris on September 3, 1792.
