Thepphanom or thephanom (เทพพนม), are Thai celestial deities kneeling in a posture of veneration.
-Protective celestial deities: Thepanom are celestial beings from the Thai Buddhist pantheon. Often depicted in pairs, in postures of respect and prayer, they protect temples and shrines. Their richly ornamented outfits with leggings and stylized decorations are typical of secondary deities in Thai art. The multi-tiered conical headdress is characteristic of royal or divine figures.
    - Pairs of Thepanom are designed to be placed on either side of a Buddha or sacred figure, emphasizing the importance of the scene depicted.
