Description

This satyr and nymph are not distracted by the viewer. Their lovemaking is too intense for that, they enjoy each other and their own pleasure. This beautifully patinated bronze statue was provided with a dedication by Guiraud Rivière; A mon ami O.Donoso, and dated 1921. The statue was cast cire perdue by Montagutelli in Paris, who also cast statues for Rodin, and left for Brussels in 1923. Beautiful and rare sculpture in bronze. It is very rare and might be a unique example.
