Superb Pair of Bronze Sculptures with Green Patina Representing Mercury, God of Good Fortune in Greek Mythology Holding a Purse and Fame, Allegory of Public or Social Recognition Blowing a Trumpet.
The Two Sculptures Rest on the Head of Zephyr, God of Wind. Their Marble Bases are Decorated with a Bas Relief with Putti Decor. They are signed Jean de Bologne.

Mannerist sculptor of Flemish origin born in Douai, in Romanesque Flanders in the Habsburg Netherlands of Austria, in 1529, and died in Florence on August 14, 1608.
