Beautiful and large bronze proof with brown and gold patina signed Charles B., provided with a black marble base of sandstone and representing Cupid with spread wings.
God of Love in Roman mythology, Cupid is represented as a child with a youthful face and curly hair, a pair of wings reminiscent of the figure of the angel on his back. He carries his quiver of arrows at his waist and his bow in his left hand, instruments supposed to illustrate the points of desire that he plants in the hearts of men.
His wings, veils, bow, quiver and arrows are gilded, accentuating his attractiveness and highlighting the bronze in general.
