A superb statue in patinated bronze and gilded bronze representing the Allegory of History, the work of Georges Bareau and made by the F. Barbedienne foundry, dating from the 1900s. This creation, entitled "Allegory of History", is the result of a remarkable collaboration between the renowned sculptor Georges Bareau and the famous founder Ferdinand Barbedienne. The sculpture is magnificently highlighted on a square base topped with a pedestal, where a graceful young woman rests. Half-dressed, the figure is draped in a carefully crafted flowing fabric. In one of her hands, she supports an unrolled parchment. Her face full of reflection, she sports an elegant hairstyle, her hair tied up in a bun with a gilded bronze headband.
