Shakyamuni Buddha subduing Mara, seated in virasana on a lotus adorned with a row of stylized stamens, above a hexagonal base. Hands in bhumisparsa and dhyana mudra. The ushnisha is crowned by wide, tight curls and ends in a lotus bud, depicting the style of the Lan Na (Chiang Saen) kingdom.
