    A beautiful desk ornament, this oval penholder in black and grey veined marble, proudly topped by a handsome Ratapoil after Honoré Daumier. This beautiful and detailed lost-wax sculpture is remarkably expressive. This fictional character by Honoré Daumier, created in March 1850
    His thin face sports a large mustache and a pointed goatee. With great candor, he holds a large walking and fighting stick in his right hand, while his left hand holds his frock coat. A handsome office bronze, which in itself carries the weight of the 19th century and the Parisian underbelly; a lost wax from the early 20th century.
