Elegant bronze depicting Giotto as a goatherd, based on a sculpture of Giotto as a child by Dominique Félix MAGGESI (1802-1882) in Bordeaux.
Our sculpture shows him as a young goatherd. The bronze has a brown patina and is set on griotte marble.
The bronze is in very good condition and is attributed to Henri-Etienne DUMAIGE (1830-1888), a 19th-century French sculptor, as mentioned on the plaque in front.
