    Superb Sculpture, Double Patina Silvered and Gilded Bronze Proof, D'Après l'Antique, "Diane de Gabies".

    This Sculpture represents a Female Figure, Hair in a Bun, with a Delicate and Slightly Reclined Posture, Clasping her Draped Coat on her Shoulder. The Goddess Artemis dite Diane de Gabies d'Après l'Antique, Symbolizes Hunting and Nature. Antique Sculpture Inspired by a Greek Original Attributed to Praxiteles or his School. The Terrace bears a COLLAS Reduction Stamp.

    Très Bel Objet de Décoration, Modèle de Barbedienne. An elegant and refined piece, a tribute to Ancient Greek Art. This finely chiselled sculpture of the highest quality will enhance your interior. This handsome subject will blend effortlessly into your decor, with charm and prestige. The original marble statue was discovered in 1792 in Gabies on the property of Prince Borghese, who sold it to Napoleon I in 1807.
