Pierre Fournier Des Corats is a French sculptor born in 1884. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1910 to 1940, winning several awards including the Gold Medal in 1933. He created numerous public monuments, and his success spread beyond France's borders. In particular, he created monumental sculptures for the Hearst caste, the castle of American businessman William Hearst.
