Mark and stamp of the foundry "Susse Frères Paris" and marked "cire perdue" (lost wax).

Christa Winsloe-Hatvany (1884-1944):
A sculptor and writer, against her family's wishes and all the conventions of the time, the German artist married the Hungarian Baron Lajos Hatvany, whom she divorced, coming to terms with her homosexuality in a more liberal Vienna of the 1920s. Specializing in animal art, the artist also lived in the United States and France. During the war, she joined the resistance and was shot dead along with her partner, the Swiss writer Simone Gentet, in June 1944 under mysterious circumstances.
