Louis-Théophile Hingre was a sculptor, modeler and medal engraver born on November 19, 1832 in Écouen (Val-d'Oise), where he died on November 12, 1911.
A celebrated animal sculptor, he was a pupil of Henri Louis Gervais and Adrien Possot. He exhibited successfully at the Salon des Artistes français in Paris from 1880 to 1910.
