    Georges Lucien Vacossin (1870-1942) is a renowned animal engraver and sculptor. A pupil of Lemaire at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he exhibited at the Salon of French Artists from 1902 to 1937 and became a member in 1905. He received honors and medals there.
