Vase signed below C Gréber

Charles Gréber (1853-1935) is a French ceramist renowned for his creations in the family business in Beauvais.
After taking over the business created by their father, the Greber brothers launched into the production of ceramics in the style of Art Nouveau, marked by naturalism, then in enameled or glazed architectural ceramics.
Charles Gréber took over the pottery factory alone, from 1899 to 1933: he then oriented his production towards architectural coating ceramics (interior and exterior), and pottery, particularly flamed stoneware; his work was rewarded with several medals.
His architectural works can be found in Beauvais or Paris, and his productions can be seen in museums, such as the one in Beauvais.
