Stoneware bowl Colette Biquand (1936-2016)
Bowl on heel in glazed and iridescent pearly blue stoneware.
Monogrammed CB and dated 1985.

Colette Biquand passed through the Martin-Talboutier workshop of the Union centrale des Arts décoratifs in 1964-65 and attended summer courses at the Château de Ratilly in the Yonne region in 1965 and 1966. She began practicing ceramics professionally in 1967, and set up her first studio in the Beauvaisis region. In 1981, she moved to Colméry, where she remained until the end of her life. Colette Biquand was a member of the Puisaye association of creative potters based at Le Couvent in Treigny. There she rubbed shoulders with many other ceramists, including Robert Deblander, Jean Michel Doix, Antoine De Vinck and many others.
