Two beautiful large double-necked vases by Revernay from the "50s". These large, generous pieces from the famous Atelier du Céramiste are not signed, as was sometimes the case, but they bear all the hallmarks of these great 20th-century ceramists: Revernay takes its name from the locality of Revernay, where the director of the Digoin earthenware factory lived. These two beautiful pieces are in good original condition; one is black, reminiscent of a large "tote" bag, decorated with a yellow loop like a tapering bag strap, yellow inside; the other, also with a double neck, is black and pink for the neck and inside, and decorated on the sides with large stripes of white-green enamel on the edges forming the sides, and like the other, with a shape like a boudin loop adorning the top of the piece in its center, thus forming the double neck. These ceramic vases are large and in good condition. Ataliers Revernay's first products, made using traditional techniques, were exhibited at the 1900 Universal Exhibition in Paris. The company ran out of steam after the First World War. In the '50s, the workshop reopened, accompanying young designers and signing ceramics inspired by Picasso , or , the potters of Vallauris . Highly ornamental and decorative, in keeping with their "50s/60s" era, these two beautiful pieces are a perfect match for each other, and a beautiful and present element of modernist decoration... In good condition
