Catteau - Charles
Charles Catteau was born on January 26, 1880 in Douai. Of a Belgian father and a French mother, he attended classes at the academy from childhood. Later, he studied at the École nationale de Céramique de Sèvres, where he completed his studies as a ceramic engineer in 1903. He continued his artistic and technical training at the Manufacture nationale de Porcelaine de Sèvres. Both Catteau and Boch Frères were awarded prizes for the quality and form of their industrial creations.
