Vase in Paris porcelain with a flattened shape, with two swan-neck handles, resting on a terrace with 4 lion paws. Beautiful gold decoration in matte and shiny, each side is decorated with a landscape: seascape with a boat on one side and Italian landscape on the other. Empire Restoration period, early 19th century around 1820.

Our vase is not signed, but recalls the productions of the Schoelcher Manufacture which produced (created) this flattened vase. The Sèvres Museum has a model in its collections.

The Schoelcher Manufacture (1798-1834) is the heir to the Faubourg Saint Denis Manufacture, formerly that of the Comte d'Artois created under the old regime. It enjoyed great glory under the Empire and the Restoration where it was under the protection of the Duchess of Berry.

Excellent condition, almost new. No chips, no accidents, superb gilding without wear.
