Large porcelain vase or jar from Canton, China, circa 1880.

Large model with lid mounted on a Fo dog and wrapped around the neck two Chinese dragons running after the golden apple. Our vase is decorated with palace scenes featuring many fantastic characters and animals. The fantastic animals (Fô dog and dragon) are enhanced with fine gold. Beautiful large-format piece, very furnishing.

It is in very good condition. The colors are very fresh, as is the gilding. Small lack of enamel on the bottom of the lid.
