Chinese Canton porcelain baluster vase richly decorated with picturesque figures, animals, flowers and foliage. This is placed on its wooden base.
The decoration in polychrome enamels is typical of the Mandarin style of the end of the 19th century.
This vase illustrates a scene of life with men and women with smiling faces, surrounded by birds, butterflies and flowers.
The whole is surrounded by a lively, dense and luminous plant motif.
At the neck, handles in the shape of guardian lions known as Fô dogs and on the shoulders of Chilongs or chimeras adorn the vase.
