Paris porcelain fruit bowl or centerpiece with openwork design simulating basketwork, gilded fillets in fine gold. The 2 sides are stamped with the coats of arms of the de Bizemont (azure, a chevron or, between in chief two crescents argent, and in base a spur rowel or) and d'Offoy (argent a saltire azure cantoned of four alérions gules) families under a Comtale crown. Mid-nineteenth century, circa 1850.

Our bowl was originally a fruit bowl designed to adorn a dining room table or sideboard. With their openwork design, the bowls let air through, allowing the fruit to keep longer. The bowl is absolutely intact, in perfect condition: the gilding is impeccable, very shiny and not missing a thing.
