Pair of small rectangular porcelain plates depicting antique scenes in cartouches on a white background with languid odalisques and nymphs surrounded by Cupids in shades reminiscent of greyness. The first gold-coloured frame with medieval-style motifs straddles the outer edge of the plate with a celestial blue background, reminiscent of the famous color developed by the chemist Jean Hellot for the Manufacture de Vincennes and the "celestial blue of Louis XV" service ordered in 1751.
    French work produced circa 1830.
