Beautiful oval-shaped ornamental openwork bowl simulating basketwork and adorned with palmettes. Beautiful gold gilding burnished with agate (polished). Paris porcelain, signed Manufacture Nast on the underside. France, Empire period - early 19th century.

Based in Paris, Manufacture Nast was founded in 1784 and operated until 1830. It supplied French high society and several European courts. This large, highly decorative piece is ideal for displaying fruit on a dining room table, or for decorating a mantelpiece or chest of drawers to complement candlesticks or form a complete set.

Our bowl is in excellent condition, with fresh gilding throughout. No damage to the porcelain or openwork. A fine collector's item.
