These Meissen porcelain candlesticks feature the so-called onion decoration, in blue on a white background. They rest on a contoured foot and their rocaille shape, made up of volutes, curves and counter-curves, and plant motifs here and there, is particularly exuberant. They are mounted in two parts, on the one hand the socket and on the other hand the stem and the foot. They are marked on the back with the mark with two crossed swords, used from 1814 to 1860, and on the base, on the front, inside a very small reserve. In very good general condition, it should nevertheless be noted some small, almost invisible chips on the bases.
Period mid-19th century.
