Antique French bonbonnière in Sèvres porcelain and gilt bronze.
The floral decoration in relief and gilt is surrounded by central cartouches and a leg. Painted with a courtier couple on the front and a landscape on the back of the lid. The square ormolu base supports the porcelain foot connected to the round, leafy bronze mount at the bottom of the central bowl. The central bowl has a double handle and a bronze rim.
The inside of the bowl is painted with flowers. Gold-painted ivy friezes embellish this beautiful decoration in the Severan style.
The lid is adorned with an ear of corn.
