Superb and rich porcelain service, decorated with arabesques in blue and gold. It includes a coffee maker, a teapot, a milk jug and a sugar bowl, all quadrangular in shape with cut sides, as well as six cups and their dodecagonal-shaped saucers.
Jacob Petit
A genius designer and technician, he renewed the field of hard porcelain, the main manufactures of which gradually experienced difficulties under the July Monarchy. Alas, Jacob Petit is not spared, and his sense of renewal by themes "from elsewhere": Ottoman, Far Eastern, Iberian models; as well as its ability to put into production polychromy and rich gilding did not prevent it from going bankrupt in 1848...
