Coffee and tea service for 12 people in gilded Paris porcelain, consisting of a jug (coffee pot), a teapot, a milk jug, a sugar bowl, a biscuit bowl and 12 litron cups and their saucers. Very beautiful work from the Locré Manufacture, from the Directoire Consulate period, late 18th century or around 1800. The sugar bowl and the biscuit bowl are signed. The Locré Manufacture was created by Jean-Baptiste Locré in 1771; he directed it until 1810.
Each piece is hand gilded with golden fillets, motifs, friezes and rosettes, and the spout of the jug in the shape of an eagle's head. The cups and shaped pieces still have a very 18th century construction: cup not perfectly circular, large jug slightly tilted during cooking, thick enamel. The charm of porcelain that is almost 230 years old.
The whole is in excellent condition. The gilding is exceptionally fresh, with no wear. A chip and crack on the sugar bowl, a chip and a handle stuck on a cup, otherwise no accident.
