The two vases are painted with decorations of putti in clouds, playing with drapes or wreaths of flowers, inscribed in medallions decorated with turquoise enamelled pearls. They rest on pedestals decorated with white enamelled pearls and flowers. The bronze holds are gadrooned.
The cup has a decoration of putti playing and baskets overflowing with flowers. The lid is decorated with two scenes: a gallant scene with a young man playing the flute and a landscape. The gadrooned handle presents a decoration of flowers on the reverse. The reverse side of the lid bears the mark of the Château des Tuileries and the Manufacture de Sèvres of the year 1846.
