This service is a superb production by the Pallas company, renowned in its day for the whiteness of its porcelain and the quality of its gilding.
Pallas, created in 1927 and active under this name until 1948, was then bought out or absorbed by the Michelaud brothers, who already owned a decoration workshop in Limoges and a factory in Saint-Brice sur Vienne. In the course of the 20th century, the Michelaud company was transferred to Porcelaines de la Fabrique, whose majority shareholder was none other than Ercuis...
This is an Art Deco ensemble, identifiable at first glance. The purity and sobriety of its lines are its undeniable hallmark.
Surprisingly, the combination of curves and straight lines is perfect and contributes to the elegance of the various pieces. Of particular note is the extreme quality of the double gilding inlay on all the pieces and the refinement of the fillet around the cups.
The service includes:
