Glossy white porcelain group depicting two putti playing with a ram on a mound decorated with vine branches.
Signed on the base J. d'Aste and "N" crowned Naples.
Very good condition, minor firing shrinkage normal for porcelain groups.
Early 20th century.
Joseph d'Asté ( 1872 Naples - 1940 Paris) was an Italian sculptor who nevertheless associated his artistic career with Paris from around 1900.
He took part in the Salon des artistes français in 1905.
His various sculptures feature children, putti and groups of figures.
