Important biscuit signed by Auguste Joseph Peiffer (1832-1886) depicting the bather with swallows. She is seated on a rock adorned with reeds, hands clasped, upper body bare and looking down at the two swallows. This sculpture in biscuit is a repeat of the large marble sculpture created by the artist and exhibited at Champigny sur Marne. Signed on the rock J. Peiffer. 

Condition report: Good condition with chips at the circular base. Restoration to a swallow's wing and to the right thumb.
