Elegant neoclassical cookie group depicting the god Bacchus and his bacchantes playing music. Produced at the end of the 19th century.

Ideal to complete an 18th-century neoclassical Louis XVI, Directoire or Empire decoration; these decorative objects are typical of the period, to be placed on a chest of drawers or mantelpiece to complement a clock, or on a festive table for a refined dinner party. It's an ornate piece from every angle, intended to be seen from all sides, in the center of a table for example, or with its back to a mirror.

This is a very fine conformal representation, with many meticulous details: facial expressions, muculature, fine details of clothing.

Excellent condition, Bacchus is missing 2 fingers (discreet).
