In 1783, Félix Lecomte presented a marble bust of Queen Marie-Antoinette. The work will be a historical milestone. Draped in a fleur-de-lis coat, wearing a “sentimental pouf”, a more or less dizzying hairstyle and capable, through accessories, of depicting the lady's state of mind, the queen is depicted here with modesty, a few flowers stitched in her hair. She wears around her neck a medallion bearing the image of her husband Louis XVI.

This biscuit edition is an art production from the Sèvres porcelain workshops. The manufacturer's mark formed by two intertwined L's is visible above the blue porcelain pedestal. Perfect condition.
