Large biscuit porcelain bust representing Diana the Huntress after Jean-Antoine Houdon (1741-1828).
The original model was created in 1777, then Houdon made bronze casts of her statue in 1782 and 1790. Diana, goddess of hunting and the night, is always represented with a crescent moon on her head. Our biscuit is a 19th century cast, signed by Bracony in Paris.
