Large biscuit porcelain bust representing Diana the Huntress after Jean-Antoine Houdon (1741-1828).

The original model was created in 1777, then Houdon made bronze casts of her statue in 1782 and 1790. Diana, goddess of hunting and the night, is always represented with a crescent moon on her head. Our biscuit is a 19th century cast, signed by Bracony in Paris.

Ideal for completing a trim on a fireplace, a chest of drawers, a console. It is a large format piece, ideal for a large neoclassical decoration project, integrating equally well into an 18th century or 19th century decor.

In excellent condition. a small superficial flake on the base, almost invisible.
