Large painting of a bouquet of gladioli, oil on canvas, unframed, by Suzanne Rinaud-Ygaunin, born in Vincennes on October 25, 1915.
After completing her secondary education and passing her baccalauréat, she entered the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris in 1933, where she worked in Mr. Sabaté's studio (portraits and landscapes). At the same time, she attended the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs and prepared for the competitive examination to become a drawing teacher for the city of Paris and for the Lycées et Collèges in 1938.
In 1939, she married Jean Ygaunin, from then on signing her works with either name. She organizes a workshop where santons are made from dried and painted clay, inspired by the shepherds and craftsmen of Provence, and holds an exhibition.
