Oil on canvas representing a bouquet of flowers in a classic vase resting on a sober entablature highlighting this elegant composition of flowers. We find in the compositions of the famous artist of the XVII, jean baptiste Monnoyer this characteristic of the use of varieties of perennial flowers with a multitude of details and sober colors giving, nevertheless, a great unity to this composition of the Grand Siecle, beautiful palette of colors moreover quite reduced, the bouquet so "loaded" falls in rain of flowers on the edge of the table; it is also a typical trait of Monnoyer's Art, like his color palette, which is here dominated by pink and carmine red with a few touches of blue.
Beautiful and rare painting
The work is presented in a good state of conservation, in a frame with a motif at the corners of fleur-de-lys from the 19th century.
