A 17th-century foreign school, Crucifixion with Angels is an oil on panel.
Our three angels solemnly surround Christ. They are beautifully winged and dressed in brightly colored garments.
Depicting the crucifixion is a difficult scene, and bringing serenity to it is a challenge. The interesting play of chiaroscuro and the faces of our protagonists succeed, however.
