Zacharie Baton was born on September 18, 1851 in Arras (brother of Ernest Baton). Died in 1925.
Painter, he studied at the Julian Academy with Gustave Boulanger and Jules Lefebvre. He painted Breton landscapes which he exhibited at the Salon from 1883.
Member of the Artistic Union of Pas-de-Calais and of the Society of Friends of the Arts of Douai.
In public collections
The Arras Museum owned several of his works: Tears! (purchased by the city in 1880); a Navy; The old coalman from Arras.
