Portrait of a young woman wearing chrysanthemums in her hair (allegory of Spring?) SCHREIBER Charles Baptiste (1847-1902).
Known for his works on the religious and ecclesiastical world, we also owe him animated scenes, portraits of young girls, but also orientalist scenes located especially in Algeria (Bonnet passage in Algiers).
He studied in the studio of Léon Bonnat and in that of Brandon, then began at the Salon of 1868; he obtained the honorable mention in 1901.
The museum of Reims preserves of him "young Italian knitting", probably from 1876.
