Two portraits forming a pair, probably of small nobility, represented on painting medallions, the woman is richly dressed in silk, embroidery and jewels, with a Fontange hairdo, while the man is dressed in a simple velvet dressing gown, but with a wig. On the reverse of the paintings can be seen the date 1715 and the surnames of the characters represented.
The paintings are on their original canvases, with some old restorations.
The frames are from a later period, probably Louis XVI.
